About

I’m Daniel Long, and I help the Church think thoughtfully about Scripture and worship. I serve as the pastor of Creeksville Baptist Church in Conway, North Carolina. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving Baptist churches across the state in a variety of roles. I earned my Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where I enjoyed learning from men like Albert Mohler, John Wilsey, and Hershael York. I’m passionate about exploring both the assumptions behind worship and its practice, as well as the history of ideas that shape our faith and culture.

I’m married to Joy, who holds a B.A. in Biology and Chemistry from Appalachian State, and together we homeschool our six children. Our homeschooling approach combines the Charlotte Mason method and the classical Trivium, with instruction that includes Bible, ancient and modern languages, literature, mathematics, sciences, and critical thinking.
